Went for a Walk to the Lake

Not so much a run, but a half hour walk after a stretch... easing back into things.  Walked up to Castaic Lagoon.  Felt good to get out and the weather was perfect, though a bit windy.  Cool and mostly clear.

End of May Already?

Alright, it's the end of May already and I have been struggling with consistency, both in getting out there and writing.  Today is the first day of 80-some days off work for summer break, so I have all the reasons and time to get back out there.  Stay tuned.

Quick Run

Did finally get out at 9:20 last night.  A very quick run... very quick, at a very slow pace.  Getting back into it. It was quite warm out, but it felt good.

Inaugural Post

This is my first blog post... ever.  Okay, I just need to get out there and run.  I've been a bit under the weather for the last week and a half, but is that an excuse, or do I really need the rest?  Anyway, I will venture out this afternoon and see what I can do.  Oh, my motivation is to get stronger and healthier and to run the Mesquite Marathon in November.  My  last, and only marathon, was the Los Angeles Marathon back in 1995.  I ran that one in 5:52.  I am once again a novice runner, but hopefully that will change soon enough.
